WCRB Web Services

WCUnderwriting

Overview

The WCUnderwriting Web Service provides 24/7 access to the experience modification factor with no human interaction. Instead of an underwriter manually searching for experience modification factors using the wcrb.org Experience Modification Lookup member product, participating carrier’s set up their server to connect with the WCRB’s web service by sending unique credentials (provided upon registration for this service), a state code, Risk ID and/or policyholder’s Federal Employer Identification Number (FEIN) and the web service will return the corresponding experience modification factor. This web service is built in conformance with WCUNDERWRITING - a national standard developed by the Workers Compensation Insurance Organizations (WCIO).

For access to the WCUnderwriting Web Service, licensed Wisconsin carriers must submit the Web Service Enrollment form and send a signed copy of the WCRB Web Services Agreement to wcrbwebmaster@wcrb.org.

For the ability to retrieve WCUnderwriting data from multiple Compensation Data Exchange (CDX) participating DCOs with a single call, licensed Wisconsin carriers who are members of the cdxworkcomp.org web site can enroll in the CDX WCUnderwriting Web Service. Compensation Data Exchange (CDX) primary administrators must log into their cdxworkcomp.org member account and request DCO approval in the My UMG/Web Service Setup tab to initiate this enrollment option. In addition to the CDX DCO approval request, submit the Web Service Enrollment form and send a signed copy of the WCRB Web Services Agreement to wcrbwebmaster@wcrb.org.

Effective 7/28/2023: The WC Underwriting web service will return the complete rating efffective date even if the requesting carrier is not the carrier of record.
