"Class Code not found" Class code entered is not a valid Wisconsin class code. Enter valid code.
"Class Code must be all digits" Enter 4 numeric characters in CODE field.
"Class Code field must be 4 digits long" Enter exactly 4 numeric characters in CODE field.
"No match found on description" Re-enter search criteria using different information.
Search by Class Code Description can narrow your search by using one of the two search options provided:
  1. EXACT words:
    • One word entered in the EXACT search will return any code that has that one word anywhere in the detailed code description.
    • Two or more words entered in EXACT search will return any code that has those exact words consecutively in the description. (For example: Search for FARM NURSERY will return one code (0005) since that is the only code that has the consecutive words FARM NURSERY in the code detailed description.)
  2. ANY words:
    • One word entered in the ANY search works the same as a one word EXACT search. This search will return any code that has that one word anywhere in the detailed code description.
    • Two or more words entered in ANY search will return any code that has one or more of those words requested in your search criteria in the detailed code description. This is different than the EXACT search. (For example: Searching for FARM NURSERY using the ANY search will return over 30 codes since the words FARM or NURSERY appears in many existing codes.)

The more description you provide, the more definitive results you will get.

If you have not gotten the information you expected when searching for a description with the word "and" in it, try substituting the "&" in your search criteria.

For words like "Manufacturing", try using "Mfg" or "Mfg."
